Weekend Catch Up - A Family Outing

Its been half term this week and a very rainy one at that, despite the rain I did'nt get a chance for any makes but we did get a family trip in to The Tower Of London.

My daughter has never been and apparently neither has my husband so a trip to The Tower was a must. Its such a shame nowadays that trips to historical British sites no longer seem to be part of the school curriculum as I thoroughly enjoyed my trip with school as a child.

Its amazing how big it is from the inside and how many buildings are contained within the towers walls all beautifully kept and steeped in history.

One of my favourite stories from the Tower of London is the Two Princes who disappeared within the tower thought to have been murdered or disappeared, the Mystery has never been solved.

And of course the beautiful ravens of the tower who just roam about as they like with not a care in the world. This one was raiding a bin for goodies, pulling out lots of rubbish till he could find something to eat, I think the caretakers probably spend more time cleaning up after the birds than they do the tourists.
