Crafting New Polymer Clay Makes
I finally had a chance to play with some clay this weekend, I received a commission for a Round Black Filigree Pendant to match a pair of Black Filigree Stud Earrings in my Etsy store.
I have to say I was delighted to be able to get the clay out, its been a while with all the shop updates and improvements (I've been working on my SEO), marketing and prep for Christmas its so easy to get consumed and forget to take time out to do the one thing I love most making!
It was a great opportunity to fit in some extras makes along with the pendant, I made a new Black and White Filigree Owl Brooch along with some smaller pieces which will be created into earrings and stud earrings.
I also made this little Daisy Charm with a tiny Swarovski Crystal centre its needs a little tweaking but I am delighted with it and have plans for this in the new year.
So as its Monday I am back on the old SEO again (my brain is melting!) But before I leave here is the finished pendant now on its way to new owner.

Polymer Clay Leopard Print Jewellery
Animal print has been featured in quite a few fashion pieces this Autumn & Winter, now I've never been a lover of the animal print personally but thought I'd have a go at a leopard print cane and here it is...
I was really happy with the results of the cane and decided to make a few sheets and some beads.
The finished peices come up slightly darker than the orignal cane but I am delighted with the results and created a few different jewellery pieces. I'm definitely converted and I think these would look great with a simple black dress prefect for people like me who shy away from animal print but want to show a touch of their wild side.

Monochrome Polymer Clay
Black & white monochrome has been with us for the last couple of seasons and it doesn't look like its going anywhere anytime soon.
I've struggled to get into this Autumn/Winter's pantone colours, I'm just not feeling it so I've decided to go with the monochrome as its such a flexible combination whatever the season.
Heres my latest black and white polymer clay makes featuring my filigree designs...

Skull & Bones Polymer Clay Pendants
Its been a busy week again have gone back to school and we get used to the routine again.
So I've been adding some new items to my Etsy store and adding some final touches to some pieces that have been waiting to be finished.
With Halloween not so far away I thought I'd show you some new pendants I made using a perspex skull & bones roller I purchased quite a while ago from a lovely stall at Old Spitalfields Market.
It took a while to get the pattern how I wanted and I coated the pendants with some Lumiere paints to give them a more old and rustic feel and to finish and make them really stand out I added some of those Swarovski hot crystals I've been playing with lately to the skulls eyes, the Topaz colour really make the pendant stand out while the jet black crystals are a more subtle finish.
Have a great Monday Everyone and don't forget to check out more great crafter's over on Handmade Harbours Handmade Monday

Polymer Clay Ribbon Necklace Comission
I missed last weeks Handmade Monday as I was busy working on a commission.
It was a replica of my turquoise and orange ribbon necklace made last year, I really like the colours on this necklace as they are so vibrant and the kaleidoscope cane used is one of my favourites and reminds me that I really need to make more of these canes if different styles, a blog post for the future.
I also took the opportunity to finish off my Turquoise Rose Ribbon Necklace that has been waiting for completion for a while.
Well that's all my makes for this week, why not pop on over to Handmade Monday and check out more great crafter's over on Handmade Harbours Handmade Monday

Beaded Necklaces and Birthday Celebrations
Its been a busy week just gone as we celebrated my husbands birthday mid week and had a fantastic BBQ hosted by our wonderful friends, thank you Ciara of My Fussy Eater for hosting a brilliant party and to our aunt Marisa for the brilliant birthday cake.
So not much crafting has been going on this end though I did get to finish off two seed bead necklaces I had previously started and their perfect for summer, here's a look.
I have so many beads left over from my stash I'm trying to make an effort to use them. So for now its back to work, have a great week everyone.

Polymer Clay Scribble Necklaces
Well my brand new clay extruder finally arrived and I have to say it was a joy to use, it wasn't until I received the new one that I realised my old one was on the way out for quite a while given the amount of blisters I kept getting trying to use it, still I now know for the future.
So finally I was able to get around and finish making my new Scribble Necklaces, this time in some softer paler colours for Summer.

Seed Bead Scoop Necklace
Happy Bank Holiday Weekend Everyone
I haven't been able to get much claying in lately! Life if taking over again as we are looking for a mortgage to buy our flat, so far its been one problem after another so a much needed day out with friends was so needed.
I planned to wear a simple black chiffon top but as we was going from day to night I felt it needed something to jazz it up. I knew what I wanted to create in my head, it was a long seed bead fringe necklace in black, but despite my efforts I couldn't find a tutorial free or paid anywhere on the net. I needed to get started so I settled on a multi strand scoop necklace instead and set about threading my beads.
It took me three days to complete as I kept changing the colour scheme (an earlier version can be seen above) but finally decided on black and gold after I found a selection of gold beads from my old stash.
Another problem I had was deciding how to finish the necklace, some gold plated cone ends would have been perfect but as time was not on my side I had to settle for jump rings on this occasion, however cone ends can be added at a later date and I think my finished necklace goes perfectly with my top..
