My year of 2013 in pictures
Looking back over my pictures for 2013 I've had some great fun with family and friends from the Brighton marathon to hen do's, weddings and a great summer.
So plans for 2014 well some things have already been set in motion and its going to be a busy year on the personal front with my son heading off to university, my daughter starting secondary school and this in itself will bring some major decisions to be made in time.
Work wise I've already been creating a new collection featuring my Liberty of London ribbon beads which I hope to bring you pictures of in the new year. Obviously I want to continue trying out new tutorials to further my claying skills and to expand on some of my more popular collections of last year.
Running wise I haven't signed up for any races yet but I have my list ready and I plan to go for some 5k & 10k races. After the marathon this year I found that having no specific goals afterwards has meant that my running became rather sporadic and I want to be more focused for 2014 and work on my pace which smaller races should help with.
So Happy New Year everyone and see you in 2014!

Polymer Clay Leopard Print Jewellery
Animal print has been featured in quite a few fashion pieces this Autumn & Winter, now I've never been a lover of the animal print personally but thought I'd have a go at a leopard print cane and here it is...
I was really happy with the results of the cane and decided to make a few sheets and some beads.
The finished peices come up slightly darker than the orignal cane but I am delighted with the results and created a few different jewellery pieces. I'm definitely converted and I think these would look great with a simple black dress prefect for people like me who shy away from animal print but want to show a touch of their wild side.

Polymer Clay Millefiori Owls
Good Morning!
A quick post to show you my latest Millefiori Owl Brooches
I've had the idea for owl brooches for a while and kept playing around with ideas of how to make them, in the end it turned out to be quite a simple design.
I have decorated there bodies with my millefiori flower canes for a floral effect and added a wings in a matching shade.
This one I used some of my remaining feather cane and his my favorite as the cane was made with a mica shift clay he has polished up lovely.
So which owl takes your fancy?

Monochrome Polymer Clay
Black & white monochrome has been with us for the last couple of seasons and it doesn't look like its going anywhere anytime soon.
I've struggled to get into this Autumn/Winter's pantone colours, I'm just not feeling it so I've decided to go with the monochrome as its such a flexible combination whatever the season.
Heres my latest black and white polymer clay makes featuring my filigree designs...
